Each module of the sofa receives a combination of special foams capable of making your sitting experience more pleasant. In addition to the use of Italian elastic belts and combinations of foams depending on the use, we value and invest in the tactile feel of our pieces. To make the product comfortable before sitting, we use special types of foam for the finish. Hiper Soft is the foam used to give a pleasant touch to the armrest and backrest (image), in addition to preserving the aesthetic lines and proportion of the product indefinitely. In the seat, we use Ultracel, as the last layer of foam to provide more durability, comfort, and stability when sitting.
Carbon steel is a material of great durability and resistance which imbues these characteristics in our products and components. The solidness and the cohesion of steel pieces, united by weld techniques, constitute an inextricable union that guarantees safety in the use and handling of our products. Laser cuts, well-executed folds, and welds constitute a continuous and fluid perception at the length of the transition of each component. Along with high-quality painting, products with metallic components ensure great physical and mechanical integrity that can lengthen not only the products’ lifespan as their aesthetic unity.

The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas by Machado de Assis, is the conceptual reference for our Braz sofa. Whilst breaking the linearity of a regular timeline and making use of the interlocution between the character, Bras Cubas, and the reader, the author tells us the character’s whole life story, starting with his death.
As an exponent and father to the Brazilian realist literary movement, Machado de Assis had a singular capacity of building a narrative that seeks to unmask true human nature. Through the character’s reflections, shared with the reader, Machado de Assis built a narrative in which we can find our thoughts, desires, and emotions.
Our Braz sofa, at first, seeks to be a homage and an invitation to get to know the incredible story of this Brazilian author that gained national and international recognition, both in his own time and in the current time. By extension, the Braz sofa is an ode to realism, expressed in The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas, because it is dedicated to the desire for pleasure that belongs to all people. This piece of furniture seeks to encourage and provoke real and essential emotions and behavior, rediscovering the subtle happiness in providing for the most basic of psychological and physical desires.
